Youth Group (YAG)

  • Time: 7:30p (but not always, please check below)
  • Date: alternate Fridays during school terms
  • Place: Blackwood Uniting Church

What’s YAG about?

We’re a combined social youth group from Blackwood and Belair Uniting Church (12-18 years old) who like real friendship, laughter and fun. We care and share, play, talk and celebrate life.

Have a look at our program and you’ll see what else we do – game shows, obstacle courses, bowling, ice skating, catch the flag, youth camp – we don’t just sit around.

This is a social event only, and there is no expectation for you to believe anything in particular. If you do wish to share matters of faith, the church provides a number of other activities, including Spirited Conversations for young adults (18-30). If you can’t find something that appeals to you, feel free to contact us to discuss what alternatives you’d like to explore.

Joining in

You’re invited to come and check out the YAG experience with us. Everybody brings along some nibbles and $2. If we’re doing something extra special, you may need to bring a little extra for that too. Please contact the leaders (see below) if you’d like to come, so they can let you know of any changes to the planned activities, and be prepared to welcome you.

If you would like to be a participant, please fill out the Permission Indemnity form (or if you are under 18 have your parents complete it) and return it to the youth group leaders.

Helping Out

If you would like to help out with the youth group, please contact the organisers (see below). You will need to complete a Driver’s Declaration Form, and have a valid Uniting Church Screening Authority (contact the Office for this).
