For those doing it tough
Since November 2009, Blackwood Uniting Church has been providing a safe and welcoming environment for members of the community who are doing it tough to enjoy companionship and hospitality through sharing a meal together.
We welcome you to join us on Friday nights at Blackwood Uniting Church coffee lounge from 6:00pm until 7:00pm to share the experience. Access is from the car park at the rear of the Church.
A team of cooks and hosts provide meals and hospitality on an eight week roster cycle. Meals are cooked at home and collected or delivered to the church in preparation for the Friday Night Gathering.

Mo and his team at Nando’s, Marion Westfield Shopping Centre (Oaklands Park), kindly supply the Friday Night Meal Gatherings with chickens and salad – “Chook with a Heart” – on the first Friday of each month.
Baker’s Delight at Blackwood kindly provides free bread and rolls every week to support the Friday Night Meal Gatherings.
Jeff & Jo Baker, franchisees at Blackwood Michel’s Patisserie kindly support the Friday Night Meal Gatherings with a selection of food from their business.
